ePDQ News

We have just started development on the next ePDQ PHP4 and PHP5 classes to integrate with the ePDQ mpi service offered to Barclays merchants. With our Barclays ePDQ integration PHP5 and PHP4 class you will be able to have the following new features:

  • ePDQ 3D secure class and simple instructions on implemenation
  • ePDQ 3D secure Authorizations
  • Billing information available in Administration store
  • Custom Invoice Templates for PHP integration

We have also decided that we will only support the ePDQ services because the other payment gateways are costly without the merchants knowing it. We asked our customers why the went for ePDQ in the end and many of them said their reasons were because:

  • Other non-ePDQ gateways do not have a support team during working hours
  • When an issue arises who are they going to contact
  • Implementation is simple with companies like “Quebix” offering the ePDQ class at a very cheap price saving us time and money
  • Some were developers and found other gateways provided inconsistent information

ePDQ is the obvious choice without any doubt, the service is great and implementation is simple and easy.

When will the new class be available?

Our ePDQ new integration features will be available in July 2009. We will first send a copy to existing customers FREE of charge and help support them integrate their systems. We will later make the software available for new customers once we have confirmed a date of release.

Why did we implement 3D secure?

Many of our customers do not actually use 3D secure, infact they opted out, when processing their applications with the ePDQ team. We had not intention because our ePDQ class detects fraudulent transactions alread and reports them back to the merchant. However, we have decided that for those of you who would prefer to avoid chargebacks that we will start to develop the new classes for the ePDQ PHP integration. This would eventually mean that we will save our customers from:

  1. Having to pay a developer to do the 3D secure a fortune
  2. Having to pay a developer considerable more to implement just the ePDQ MPI.

These new class will save you money and time. However, we will release them later on in the year after vigorous testing and our existing customers approve the new ePDQ classes.

In the meantime please purchase our ePDQ version 1 class to qualify for a early release for the new classes coming soon this July or August. If you would like to purchase a copy of the class for NOW £49.99 please click here
